REGISTRATION STATUS

FEE INFORMATION
Applicants will be required to pay the following fees during this process:
  1. Application Fee $100.00 (Non-refundable)
  2. Initial Registration Fee $525.00 (One-time fee applicable to all new registrants)
  3. Annual Registration Fee (paid once annually):
    • $495.00 for Full Practicing or Conditional Registration ($290.00 after September 1st)
    • OR
    • $250.00 for Non-Practicing Registration
  4. CDHA/BCDHA Fees (includes professional liability insurance) $379.00 (not applicable for Non-Practicing registrants)
The sum of applicable fees will be due at the time you submit this application.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR REGISTRATION APPLICATION PROCESS
Please note that after submitting the form and payment you ARE NOT registered to practice dental hygiene. You will be required to submit additional documentation via mail in order to complete your application. A list of these documents will be provided to you after filling out the online form.

Between March 1st and August 31st of every year, the full year fee of $495.00 applies. From September 1st to the last day of February each year, the half year fee of $290.00 is in effect. If you wish to pay the half year fee, you must submit your online application on or after September 1st. If your application is submitted online prior to September 1st, you will be charged the full year fee with no exceptions. You may send in your documentation to the College office prior to applying online in order to get the process of your application started and wait to submit your official application and payment online until on or after September 1st in order to pay the half year fee. Please review the information provided in the Registration and Renewal section of the website for more information or contact a member of the Registration staff at the College Office for assistance.

Processing time is up to 6 weeks from the day that your completed registration application is received. If any portion of your application is incomplete, please be aware this will prevent the application from being processed until such time that all information is received. The registration application must be processed, approved, and a registration number must be issued prior to dental hygiene practice in B.C.

You will be notified of your registration application approval by telephone. The CDHBC is able to release your registration number to you over the phone. After your registration status has been confirmed by telephone by a member of the CDHBC staff, you will be able to commence dental hygiene practice. Your registration package is then forwarded to you in the mail.

All registrations expire on February 28, 2019. All registrants must apply for registration renewal and submit renewal fees by February 28, 2019, to remain on the College register. Failure to submit the renewal forms and fees by February 28, 2019 will result in removal from the Register.
